Hope Faversham 2018 is (initially at least) all about three things:
1. Encouraging Christians to pray together
Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Drawing Christians together from across Faversham’s churches to pray regularly (weekly) and consistently for our town.
2. Equipping Christians to talk about Jesus
1 Peter 3:15 . . . in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect . . .
Using the Lent period to help one another with ideas and resources that enable Christians to share their faith naturally in conversations with others.
3. Finding opportunities to start conversations about our Christian faith
1 Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Including an Easter focus, with Easter Cards for every home, the Good Friday Walk of Witness and Service in the Market Place, and the encouragement to everyone in our churches to hold their own Easter Hope home-based social events.
